    rn Electric, SWEB, Seeboard, Southwest Water etc.; and TV and radio shares like Anglia TV, LWT, Yorkshire TV, Metro Radio and Chiltern Radio. Most of these were taken over in the mid- to late-90s and I sorely miss ‘em!

    Overall, though, I firmly believe that the modern era’s advantages heavily outweigh the disadvantages. Quite apart from all the obvious advant
