VoIP - Basic Assumptions
I thought I'd outline some of the basics of VoIP. I use this service myself and have sold VoIP services to my customers. What I didn't understand until last night is how much I assume. You see my business is mostly web based so my customers read up on VoIP and have a general understanding of the technology before making a purchase.

Getting Wired For VoIP
You finally made the switch to broadband phone service. The
friendly neighborhood UPS guy just came by with the DTA
adapter you'll need to start using your new VoIP service.
Soon the wheels in your head begin to turn as you realize
your VoIP router is only connected to one telephone. You
want VoIP phone service in your whole house, don't you?

Practical VoIP at Long Last
If you thought you finally had a handle on the VoIP phenomenon, think again. The virtual phone line established with VoIP has been taken to the next level, the virtual call center. With the continuous stream of new possibilities opening up as a result of ever-improving VoIP technology, it was only a matter of time before someone came up with the idea of a virtual call center. Well, not only have they come up with it, they've made and marketed it, too. And as someone who spends a lot of time writing about VoIP, all I can say is that it's about time.

Cheapest Solution in VoIP Broadband Phone Service
VoIP is an abbreviation for voice over Internet protocol. It
is easy to confuse VoIP with broadband phone service. Though
broadband phone service uses the voice over Internet
protocol to send and receive phone calls, it is not actually
VoIP. As of now, VoIP basically comes in three forms,
PC-to-PC, PC-to-Phone, and Broadband telephone service.

Security Checklist For Voip Service Providers
It is often said that understanding the problem is 90% of the solution, and VoIP security is no exception. It is fear of the unknown which is likely to elicit a knee-jerk reaction of panic, so the first step is to understand the threats and then classify them. We also have to ask the question: what does security mean to me and what does it mean to my customers?
