Most car donors opt to donate their old cars instead of selling them since the resale value of their cars are way lower than they expect. Also, it can be hard to find buyers. Donating your car does not only give you a feeling of altruism and self-accomplishment (for being able to help others); it also earns you great tax deductions.

Why Donate a Vehicle?
It is easier to donate a used car, whether working or not, than to sell. One can donate cars, autos, trucks, motorcycles, vans, commercial vehicles, jet skis, snowmobiles, motor homes, buses, and even boats. The first and foremost advantage in vehicle donation is tax deduction. Tax deduction with donation of a vehicle will very well depend upon the market value of the vehicle at the time of donation. One can certainly seek the advice of a tax consultant concerning tax deduction with donation. Sometimes it so happens that the tax savings from vehicle donation will be more than that one may gain from sale. Donation of a vehicle is certainly stress-free. By donation, one can avoid all the headaches of selling a used vehicle such as advertisements, attending phone calls, repeatedly exhibiting vehicles to customers, and price bargaining. Donating will avoid confusing and time consuming paper work. Thus one can save time and money to be expensed to sell the vehicle.
