Defending the Right to Hate

The Westboro Baptist Church stages protests at the funerals of our military men and women killed in Afghanistan and Iraq because they believe God is mad at the United States and is therefore killing our soldiers. While their actions are morally reprehensible, their actions are protected under the rights of freedom of speech and assembly.

Bringing Home the Bacon

Congressional spending is out of control. Elected representatives are concerned more with their own campaigns to stay in office and use pork-barrel projects to win votes at home.

Remember the Real Gorbachev?

Mikhail Gorbachev's recent rants about wanting to see a democratic Russia represent a significant change in political philosophy. Gorbachev has been a lifelong believer in Communism and never intended to cause the break up of the Soviet Union. His reform efforts were designed to increase the power and prestige of the Communist Party, but instead unleashed forces he could not control.

Protecting American Citizens from Domestic Enemies

What can I say America concerning the current events of the war between Israel and Hezbollah/Shiites? This is truly a war because both sides are using bombs and gun fire. Israel is hitting everything in Lebanon and Hezbollah from Lebanon is hitting everything in Israel.

A Tale of Two Editorials

When a company gets bought or sold for way more than its book-value, branding is what they used to call ‘good-will.’

Bush's Veto: A Profound Inversion of the Truth

By issuing the first veto of his Presidency, President George Bush snatched defeat from victory and shot down the Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act. In so doing, he ignored the will of the people, not to mention scientific and medical advice. That he did this in favor of the wishes of his questionable and dubious political advisors (Rove, Snow, etc) is all the more troublesome.

DNC Party Platform Reviewed Part III

Economic Prosperity is another talking point they like to trot out. We have Unemployment rates lower than they were in the so called 90s boom. We have more people owning homes than ever before. The jobs keep growing, even after the disastrous dot com burst that happened shortly after 2001. We have done this as a country through a recession, the worst attack on our financial structure ever...

War is Good - For Business II

The profitability of The Cold War was enough to transfer most of the common global wealth into the hands of the oligarchs - war mongers. In essence, Korea and Vietnam were but gravy on the war profit meat. Second in an indefinite series.

War is Good - For Business

The second most profitable business on planet earth is; preparation for war. The ones who profit most do the most to promote war; as counter intuitive as this may sound to all you other business people. If it were not so profit intensive it would surely be as capital destructive as it appears. Why would a business person destroy capital? Higher profits. If you do not accept my premise, I dare you to read on. First of an indefinite series.

Why Iran Needs Nuclear Weapons

Iran needs nuclear weapons. Anyone with foreign policy knowledge will be able to understand their motives. Here they are.

A Tribute to President George W. Bush

President Bush deserves a lot of credit.

We Are All Macaca

It sounds like racism and bigotry and most American monkeys will let it slide. But what it is in reality, is Washington monkey puppet faux elitism. Because they rub elbows with the agents of the rich, they truly believe they are chief among servants of the super rich.

The Rumsfeld Doctrine

Sometimes, it has been said, to defeat a monster you must become a monster. Sadam, with inferior technology, kept Iraq together by making it fruitless to oppose him. If we are unwilling to rule Iraq then we must leave Iraq to its own devices.

Politically Incorrect in Rhode Island

Groups calling for the abolishment of Victory Day in Rhode Island miss the point of the holiday. Political correctness and a desire to not offend anyone take away from the sacrifices of a generation of Americans who fought and died for the survival of this nation.

Something for Nothing

It is true that people need a little help from time to time. Goodness knows we can all use a hand of friendship. It's just nice to know that your sacrifice is appreciated, and an attitude of gratitude can go a long way. Recipients of public assistance can and should be positive contributors to society.
