The Middle East Crisis - Where Will It End?

In the War on Terror... who are the real terrorists?

Ann Coulter, The Media, And Verbal Attacks On Women

Ann Coulter's recent book Godless was covered extensibly by the media. Or was it? This article critiques the media's attempt to ignore the majority of the book to focus solely on Coulter's comments about the 9/11 widows from New Jersey.

A Terrorist Organization By Any Other Name

Hezbollah targets civilians indiscriminately, yet they are not considered by U.N. second-in-command Malloch Brown a terrorist organization. With apologists like him to deal with, no wonder negotiations over a cease fire get no where.

Say Hello to the Neo-McGovernites

I almost ignored anti-war Ned Lamont’s win over pro-war Joe Lieberman in the Connecticut primary last night until I got a load of two of Lamont’s cadre of celebrants. Directly behind a smiling Lamont were Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton – two of the most divisive, opportunistic, and race-baiting individuals that contemporary politics has spawned. Somewhere in the distance, I could almost hear the faint whisper of Jackson’s “Hymietown” or Sharpton’s fixation on New York “diamond merchants.”

The US Armed Forces, They Want YOU and You Can't Get Out

The US Armed Forces, They Want YOU and You Can't Get Out July 29th, 2006 7:12PM California Time As American Citizens find themselves overwhelmed by the consequences this Administration's illegal wars have brought about, The United States Military is in serious trouble. In previous Articles here in this Column, I've reported on several instances where the US is financially unable to keep up with the Iraq, and Afganistan occupations. Military Bases throughout the United States Homeland have been forced to either close down altogether or minimize their spending. Some Bases are unable to pay their electrical bills. The closure and crippling of these bases has destroyed military towns and communities all over the United States, eliminating jobs, and displacing families. All of this can be found in previous articles either on this page: (http://www.libertyinchaos.powersandmorrison.com) or within the Archives of this Column.

Is the Democratic Leadership and Lieberman Falling Apart?

When Senator Lieberman moves his campaign to the libertarian ticket he will be re-challenging the young up and coming Democrat that beat him in the primary election. If the young democrat wins again he will replace Lieberman and the Democrats will lose yet another very strong politician who knows how to get things done in Washington DC.

Wars in Asia: War and Peace in Sri Lanka, the Chaos and Stumbling Blocks

If the Sri Lankans couldn't realise anything from their past observations at least at this juncture, then they all are going to observe pathetically, the sovereignty of the Island - Paradise is falling into the hands of some of the International Financial Institutions, International Judicial System and to the International Forces in the near future.

John F. Kennedy, The Charismatic US President and the Global Visionary

The US President who had come out with his inaugural address not only for his fellow Americans but for the entire world and faced the major crisis during his presidency, the Bay of Pigs invasion, the Cuban Missile Crisis, the building of the Berlin Wall, the Space Race, early events of the Vietnam War and the American Civil Rights Movement and tried his best to resolve those crisis, was finally assassinated on November 22, 1963 by Lee Harvey Oswald untimely before he put a lasting end to those crisis.

Why We Can't Win The War Against Terrorism

Terrorist are special interest groups often supported by governments but not recognized by those same governments. In Washington we are expert in dealing with such groups. They have powerful attorneys that bully us and bribe us but we talk things out and resolve problems - perhaps too often in the favor of the special interest groups. Unless the terrorist gain some way to communicate with governments, other than by killing innocent people and themselves, this war will rage on forever.

Our Dead Are Not Milestones

The main stream media focus too heavily on the number of casualties in Iraq. In so doing, they turn our war dead into cold statistics instead of human beings. The focus should instead be on the lives behind the numbers, and the selfless service of the men and women who volunteer in today's military.

Foothold Homes: Giving Public Housing Away to the Poor

Here's a radical idea: Make your public housing agency give homes to the poor-- and get Habitat for Humanity to run it!

Morality Transcends Religion - Breaking Political Myths

Article discusses basic human morals that exist beyond a belief in God which explains both why people of faith may act immoral and in ways absolutely not condoned by their faith, and why people who don't believe in God can have strict non-faith-based morals that guide them.

Lessons Still Not Learned; Hamas and Hezbollah

The common thinking (at least in this country) is that Hezbollah and Hamas are dedicated to the destruction of Israel and that al Queda is obsessed with the demise of America. Both surmisings are wrong and, because they are wrong, America is likely to find itself in an unending as well as an unwinnable conflict against terrorism within the Muslim world.

Welcoming Israel to the Club

Israel has just become a member of the club and it’s a grand thing for America to no longer be a majority of one. Now, the greatest military power in the world and the greatest military power in the Middle East have both come to grief against hotheaded, angry, religious martyrs, brandishing the weapons of our cold-war policy.

Is Sixty Years Too Long a Wait?

For some reason or another, five months after Congress voted to bestow its highest honor, the Congressional Gold Medal, on a couple hundred remaining heros still living from WWII, the award is not yet given or even produced. A word about these guys, the Tuskegee Airmen. They were a segregated United States Air Force squardron, 994 black pilots who were trained at Tuskegee Institute in 1942.
