Are Women Politically Under-Represented?

The main issue is whether women around the world are politically under-represented.

No Penalty for Early Withdrawal

The more gullible of us are expected to believe that disaster will ensue in the wake of troop withdrawal. Insurgents, and civil war, will tear apart the fragile fabric of the infantile Iraqi society. What this really means is that the unpopular puppets and collaborators, whose power in Baghdad derives entirely from the barrels of American guns, will fall faster than Enron stock without our dupes to support them.

What Happened to All the North American Honey Bees - Communism Does Not Work

We know that communism does not work very well in human societies and perhaps the American Honey Bees pushed it too far. Although the busy bees appeared to be quite productive making honey and pollinating the crops, now they are dying out in many places in our country. Many people who are allergic to bee stings say good riddens, but perhaps they should not be so hasty to condemn our buzzing partners in agriculture.

Non-Prophet Cartoons - Islam vs. The West

What once was America's War on Terror is fast becoming Europe's War on Cultural Intolerance.

Is No Candidate Eligible To Become The President In Office Next Year?

The American presidency has made it plausible for the candidates to run for president even if they have no background in foreign policy. It is only the campaigning that matters. Foreign policy has always played a peripheral role. Most of the candidates have no background in foreign policy.

German Memories - Roman Rule in Germania

During the year 7 B.C., the Romans had to put down only smaller unrest in some places and they didn't need to engage in any major combat operations, since the exhausted Germanic tribes mostly respected the peace and recognized the Roman rule. The newly-conquered area was secured with army routes and camps. In the winter, the Roman army retreated into the camps along the left bank of the Rhine. But during the entire summer, all strategically important parts of Germania were occupied by Roman soldier camps. Apart from this military presence, the Romans also set up numerous markets and founded trading posts: Slowly an extensive peaceful exchange of goods began between the Roman Empire and the Germanic tribes, who formerly had to purchase all Roman products indirectly over Gaul. These trading posts probably contributed much to make Germanic people familiar with the Roman way of life, language, laws and customs.

German Memories- Holy Roman Empire era Thirty Years War to Napoleonic Wars & the Congress of Vienna

The reformation and Thirty Years War in German states from 1618 to 1648 totally ravaged the German Nation. The conflicts between Catholics and Protestants by their efforts in various states within the Holy Roman Empire to increase their power and the emperor's attempt to achieve religious and political unity of the empire caused the total devastation of the German Nation. The war resulted in a loss of something like a third of its population and large areas of the German Nation being laid waste. Another major factor that threw the German Nation into a mess was the rivalry between Prussia and Austria for the leadership over other German states which began since 1640. After the Peace of Hubertsburg in 1763, Prussia too became equally powerful and exerted a powerful influence on German affairs.

Building Institutions - A Path To Racial And Social Integration For Muslims In The American Society

For any community to flourish the availability of capital for consumer and commercial purposes is paramount- for this reason alone the lack of Islamic financial institutions in the US is of significant concern- having institutions that serve the special needs of the Muslim community by providing Shariah compliant financial products and offerings is a necessary step forward.

German Memory- US President Gen Dwight D Eisenhower in the Crisis of Starving German POWs

An assertion that was central to Canadian author James Bacque's accusation was his contention that there was no European food shortage in 1945. But historians pointed out Eisenhower had sent many messages before the surrender of Germany on the expectation of possible inadequacy of food. After the first week of May, all of Eisenhower's calculations as to how many people he would be required to feed in occupied Germany became woefully inadequate. He had badly underestimated, for two reasons. First, the number of German soldiers surrendering to the Western Allies far exceeded what was expected (more than five million, instead of the anticipated three million) because of the onrush of German soldiers across the Elbe River to escape the Russians. So too the German civilians - there were millions fleeing from east to west, about 13 million altogether, and they became Eisenhower's responsibility.

German Memoirs - German Strike on Romans and Invasion into the Roman Empire Which Changed the World

Whatever the persecution Germans faced historically what Dietmar Doering was telling me came into mind as to how the Germanic tribes under the command of Arminius (Hermann) by one stroke against the Roman Forces in Germania and the subsequent Germanic tribes invasion into the Roman Empire changed the trend of the world. If the Romans had succeeded to integrate the Germanic people, maybe the continuing Roman rule would have merged the European peoples into a permanent nation of Roman citizens. Possibly, Europe then might even have remained politically united in a single state.

If Life Is a Virtual Reality Video Game - May I Suggest Some New Software Upgrades?

Most people realize that we need some adjustments in the world. We need to fix lots of things in our own civilization that is broken. You know education, health care, political system, etc, but we are not alone of course, as in third world nations there is starvation, HIV-AIDS and people killing each other with machetes and machine guns.

How Swift Can An Unemployed American Find A Job?

Illegal aliens are necessary because they will do the work that Americans will not do? Huh!

We Are Our Own Enemy!

Pick up any newspaper, listen to any news broadcast or browse any newsfeed on the web and you will find examples of Americans behaving badly. This rampant display runs from the average citizen right through the top level of American Politics. The worst factor is the decay of America is our general belief that we must stand by and watch it happen, because there isn't anything we can do about it. I believe that notion is wrong. Outraged Americans are currently the silent majority, but there is no reason for us to remain silent any longer. Your voice does not have to go unheard. You can contact your representatives and demand that they bring back your America. You can put a stop to the poliotically correct idiocy, and raise your children to be strong and intelligent. Our constitution give you the power to change things. You don't have to wait, when you can instigate.

Why Me?

Did you ever wonder why Time Magazine has cut its staff? It seems that they have ordinary Americans writing articles for them and we don't even know it.
