Terror Or Error - What's The Real Battle Of Our Time?

Let's go right ahead and make a case for error. We immediately see that the war on terror is actually only an explosive part of the war on error. Why? It's obviously based on erroneous thinking by its perpetrators, who believe they can make the world Islamic by blowing up people who disagree with them. There's also the significant contradiction that their one true God, who would by definition be the God of us all, condones the murder of fellow human beings. Of course, we can toss in the traditional idea that the most influential way to advocate the superiority of a belief is by example. Need we extend our argument by dragging in Kant's Categorical Imperative to indicate how their behavior cannot possibly be an example that all the world can follow. So let's leap right to the conclusion that the dimwits under the turbans are definitely in terrible error.

A Religion In Need Of Redemption

Generally, religion figures human beings need redemption. Now, we note, at least one religion is in dire need of redemption - Islam. The explosive evidence speaks for itself - unfortunately, louder than any other voice in Islam. But can enough Muslims be convinced that their religion needs salvation? If a humor magazine can't do it, who can? Here's a short course, called Good Religion 101. Is a religion supposed to be an enhancement of life or a liability against it? What is its merit to the living when it becomes a liability against life? For that matter, what is its merit to the ultimate source of life - in this context, taken to be Allah, the one true pal of us all? To be meritorious, a religion must be primarily about the sanctity of life, not the sanctity of death. The more it subordinates life, which is what we have in our care, the more it has gone wrong.

Al Qeada Forgets History and Relives the Black Hole of Calcutta

Apparently Al Qeada's guerrilla warfare tactics are failing. On one hand they point to Abu Grave as proof that the Americans are unfit to help lead the Iraqi government in setting up a plan of their own. But what have we recently seen? Well, a torture prison with torture manuals was discovered with 40 Iraqi citizens who were barely still alive in a secret location, run by Al Qeada. Still more interesting is that Al Jazzera makes little mention of it, but hammers on the Allied Forces in Iraq.

Che Guevara - Laying the Ghost to Rest

One of the difficulties in getting to the truth behind the Che legend is that fiction and fact have become virtually indistinguishable. Most of the fiction is a result of the labors of leftist revisionists, focused as they have been on casting a flawed opportunist as a revolutionary hero. The facts, buried behind the virtually impenetrable fog of myth, reveal a man who was very different from the revolutionary hero whose iconic image has ended up on T'shirts in every corner of the globe.
